Registration for Permaculture Design Workshop Series - Intermediate Level
Sat Sept 24th, Oct 15th, Nov 5th, 12-4 pm, High Park Children's Garden

Through this series the group will practice permaculture techniques for (re)designing a site. We will apply permaculture principles, explore design elements, interview a client, and analyze the site using a wide variety of techniques. We will present our recommended site design and implementation plan to the client and make a final revision. Includes group work and some homework. Learn skills you can apply to your own site or in a community, public or rented context.

Part 2 of this series will happen in spring when we implement phase one of the approved elements of the design. Other spring projects may include creative documentation of the process and other spin-off projects. Tentative dates for the spring session: Saturdays Feb 25, Mar 24, Apr 28 and May 26.

Optional bonus: 11-11:45 mindful gardening practice (silent). Connect with the garden and ground yourself before the workshop for a few minutes.

This workshop is for people who have done at least one of the following:
  • taken a permaculture design certificate course;
  • attended an Introduction to Permaculture workshop with Garden Jane;
  • studied permaculture independently;
  • applied permaculture principles in a design project.
  • To check in further about whether you can attend or this series is for you, contact us.

$150-$200 sliding scale (+HST), includes take home resources.

Sliding scales are in place to help people in a range of circumstances to come to workshops and access programs. You choose what you pay. The lower end is slightly subsidized. The higher end helps others to attend and helps us generate new resources to share. We're happy to have you there, regardless of the amount you pay. We have limited trade spots available.

For refund policies, getting receipts with an HST #, or paying by cheque click here. We aim to be in touch by phone if we can before the workshop to get to know you (or catch up) and hear a little more about what you hope for from the group. If we haven't reached you and you'd like to check in, please call us at 416-536-9144. Frequently asked questions.
